Ultrasound-guided Breast Microbiopsy

Contra-indications

None

Preparation

No special preparation is needed for a breast biopsy.

It is not necessary to be fasting for a breast microbiopsy.

There is no particular precaution to observe with respect to the cycle.

You can continue taking medication.

If you are taking anticoagulant therapy, please notify us when making an appointment.

Conduct of examination

After local anesthesia, a needle of a certain caliber is positioned at the suspicious lesion under ultrasound.

It is then connected to a pistol that allows for a sampling.

The procedure lasts about 20 minutes.
